Daddy Yankee coming to McAllen


Daddy Yankee a driving force in reggaeton music, will play the McAllen Convention Center March 19.
Tickets will go on sale 10 a.m. Saturday, said Yajaira Flores, a spokeswoman for the Convention Center. Tickets will be available on www.ez-tixx.com, starting at $39.
Daddy Yankee, a Puerto Rico born artist, released his first international album in 2004. Dubbed Barrio Fino, critics have called the album one of the best reggaeton releases to date. Daddy Yankee will play the Valley as part of his The Big Boss Tour. The rapper/singer is promoting his line of men's cologne, a new Web site, and a movie titled Talento de Barrio. Daddy Yankee is best known for the hit song "Gasolina."
