Daddy Yankee Three Nominations


Daddy Yankee received three nominations for the Billboard Music Awards Latin 2009 in three categories that are released in the last edition of the awards. His album, Talento de Barrio: El Soundtrack, is nominated in the categories: “Top Latin Album of the Year (male)” and “Latin Rhythm of the year (only)”. Its success “Pose”, first single from the soundtrack of the film of the same name, was postulated in catergoría: “Latin Rhythm Airplay Song of the year (only)”.

For the award this year will be taken into account lists of the weekly Billboard February 9, 2008 to January 31, 2009. Talento de Barrio: El Soundtrack arrived at the market in July and have fallen off the hits “Pose,” “Emergency Call” and, most recently, “Talento de barrio,” which recently premiered the video exclusively through MySpace. Applications for Billboard are based on sales data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and radio information monitored by Nielsen BDS and original ringtone sales as compiled by Nielsen RingScan.

The nominations were announced live today on Tuesday the “Stand Up.” The ceremony will be broadcast live by Telemundo will be held next April 23 at the Eden Roc Hotel in Miami Beach and is the culmination of the Billboard Music Conference. Aylin Mujica and Alan Tacher animate the event. Daddy Yankee is expected to attend the prestigious ceremony.
