mun2 Announces Second Season Of "THE mun2 HOOK UP: CELEBRITY EDITION"


Currently in Production in Los Angeles, the Reality Series Featuring Daddy Yankee, Tito Trinidad, Calle 13, LA Galaxy & More Premieres May 21st at 7pm ET/PT

mun2, the destination for today's Latinos with programming reflecting their unique tastes and lifestyle, announces it is in production for its second season of "The mun2 Hook Up: Celebrity Edition." This time, the network travels to Puerto Rico, where talented young rookies get hooked up with chart-topping Latino artists including Daddy Yankee, Luis Fonsi, Calle 13, Angel y Khriz, and Puerto Rican boxing champ, Felix "Tito" Trinidad. The all-new season featuring top celebrities premieres Thursday May 21st at 7pm ET/PT.

"Last year's launch of 'The mun2 The Hook Up' brought many young aspiring rookies a step closer to their career dreams by offering them the unique opportunity to spend a day with professional Latinos in their industry of choice," says Alex Pels, General Manager for mun2. "Seeing the large success of the first season's celebrity hook ups, we decided to bring our audience more of this content by offering an entire season dedicated to celebrity hook ups."

"These aspiring rookies have learned that there are many crucial aspects that have helped their mentors achieve worldwide success, including long days of rehearsals, training, press and dedication."

Earlier this year, the first season of "The mun2 Hook Up" was nominated for a NAMIC (National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications) Vision Award in the Reality TV category for the episode featuring the multi-talented pop artist Frankie J.

Currently in production in Los Angeles, season two of the mun2 Hook Up will also feature hook ups with the top recording artists Rkm & Ken-Y, DJ Flex, Jenni Rivera and Taboo of Black Eyed Peas, professional skateboarder Paul Rodriguez, soccer team LA Galaxy, and Miss Universe 2008, Dayana Mendoza.

Production Company "Higher Ground Entertainment" joins mun2 once again to produce the second season of the series.

Full episodes of the first season will be available on holamun2.com/hookup and season two episodes will stream on the network's website the day after they hit the air starting Friday, May 22nd.
