Aventura, Daddy Yankee, and More at 2009 Billboard Latin Music Awards

We first told you about the amazing finalists, such as Calle 13, Juanes, and Mana, that will be present at the 2009 Billboard Latin Music Awards. Now, we’re going to let you in on the star-studded performances lined up!

Enrique Iglesias, Daddy Yankee, Ruben Blades y los Seis del Solar, Reik, Aventura, and Wisin y Yandel are scheduled to perform at this year’s ceremony, presented by State Farm. They will also be joined by the multi-platinum selling singer Akon, who is now adding a more Latin twist to his sound. In addition, the all-male dance troupe JabbawockeeZ will also be there to delight the thousands of people expected to watch the show from home. These artists will share the stage with previously announced performers, including Paulina Rubio, Don Omar, Cristian Castro, and La Quinta Estacion. Carlos Santana, who is preparing for his upcoming Las Vegas residency, will take a break and receive the Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award.

Audiences will also eagerly watch to see if Panamanian reggae singer Flex is going to win any of the 13 awards he’s nominated for! We recently caught up with the “Romantic Style” artist to get all the juicy details, so make you check out our Q&A session here.

Don’t miss the 2009 Billboard Latin Music Awards taking place live from The BankUnited Center at the University of Miami on Thursday, April 23 at 7PM EST, broadcasted on Telemundo.
