Daddy Yankee ready to invade CGB


Daddy Yankee who will be headlining this year’s Music Festival in Cane Garden Bay, has promised to put on a show which patrons will never forget.

Today, speaking to members of the local media via a telephone interview, the Puerto Rican artiste said that he is very excited and promises to perform his best. He also thanked the Music Festival Committee for inviting him.

Daddy Yankee also mentioned that he is a big fan of Sizzla and is delighted to work with him.

Members of his management team also said that they appreciate the invitation and noted that the artiste did not hesitate to take up the challenge. They emphasized that as Puerto Ricans, they are all part of the Caribbean and music is what unites the people of the Caribbean.

Some of the line ups for the event which will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 22, 23, and 24 are Daddy Yankee, Sizzla, Tanya Stephens, Queen Africa, Serani, Busy Signal, The Drifters, Quito, Peter Ram and the Edge and Ritical.

On the website www.bvimusicfestival.com where persons are afforded the opportunity to vote for their favourite night, Saturday night is still in the lead with Sizzla being the number one interest on that night.

Tickets are already available from all members of the BVI Music Festival Committee Cane Garden Bay.

On Friday 8 May at the Noel Lloyd Park, pre-event weekend passes at a price of $45 will be on sale from 4 – 6 pm.

The event will be powered by the Festival’s premier sponsor, LIME who will also have mobile phone specials on that day. The second pre-event weekend pass sale will be on Friday and Saturday 15 and 16 May at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex box window from 10:00 am until 3:00 p.m.

Tickets will be available up until the event for a price of $20 per night or $50 for the weekend, and the special weekend rate of $45 dollars is only available on the above mentioned dates of 9, 15, and 16 of May.
