La Despedida”, the third and latest single from Daddy Yankee’s “Mundial” comes in at number one for the second consecutive week on the Latin Rhythm Chart in Billboard Magazine. Yankee continues his worldwide success in Chile as part of his “Mundial” world tour, with many countries to follow including Spain, Switzerland and England. The Grammy award winner was greeted with a gold record for Mundial sales and is one of the top 5 most requested artists on Chilean soil.The video was launched on www.daddyyankee.com and directed by Georgie Rivera. “La Despedida” is a sentimental story in which a couple finds their relationship affected by disease and forced to take difficult but very necessary measures despite their love for one another.
The Puertorican star has completed half of his tour throughout Chile which has taken him through Antofagasta, Iquique and Santiago in the last week. He played to a sold out crowd at the Arena de Puerto Montt, will play today at the Gimnasio María Gallardo de Osorno, Wednesday September 1, will play at Estadio Germán Becker de Temuco and wraps up the Chilean leg of the tour this coming Friday, September 3, at the Estadio Collao de Concepción.
