Daddy Yankee Brings The Heat to 30,000 Fans

Daddy Yankee continues his abundant success as he took the stage at Radio El Zol 99.1′s Zol Verano Music Festival in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Yankee played to a sold out crowd of 30,000 fans in 90 plus degree weather. Fans lined up from 10 am and held on tight to their spots to see the Grammy award winning superstar. His original set was planned for forty-five minutes, but went well over an hour and twenty minutes as fans amped Yankee to keep going. He felt the energy of the Latin community who so loyally follow and support him.
Among the many songs performed were his current #1 single “Descontrol”, “Pose” “Lo Que Paso” and for the first time, the singer performed “La Despedida”, the next single off his current release Mundial, which remains at the top of Billboard’s Latin, Latin Urban and Rap albums charts. It is also taking over the digital world as the album finds itself in the top five of iTunes Latino chart.
Before taking to the stage, Daddy Yankee was informed that his single “Grito Mundial”, which has already reached worldwide success, had reached the #1 on Venezuela’s music charts. The single’s energy packed video, has also already reached #1 spot in download’s in iTunes.
