Daddy Yankee In The Urban Dance Festival

For the first time in the history of Peru, an English-speaking hip-hop singer will perform live in the Andean country.

As a part of the Urban Dance Festival, Jamaican hip-hop/dancehall singer Sean Paul will perform alongside Tego Calderon and Daddy Yankee, both world-renowned artists and reggaeton pioneers.

Wearing a chullo, a Peruvian hat made of alpaca, Sean Paul attended a press conference in which he stated the country's women were beautiful and regretted he would not be able to visit Machu Picchu on this occasion.

He did, however, state he would drink plenty of Pisco Sour, assuring he had heard a great deal about the cocktail.

When speaking to the press, Puerto Rican rapper Tego Calderon expressed his love for Callao, stating it was always a pleasure to come to Peru.

He added he was very fond of "Chalacos", or people from Callao and assured he had many friends in the region. He stated he looked forward to visiting them.

On a street known as the "Hall of Fame" in Callao, Tego Calderon's picture has been painted alongside artists such as Hector Lavoe and Celia Cruz.

The third star that is to perform at the concert is Daddy Yankee, who has not arrived to the country yet and was not present at the press conference.

The concert is to take place at the Monumental Stadium in Lima on Friday. Event organizers have announced that over 30,000 tickets, which range from $10 - $100, have been sold.
